sodafine pop-up

exciting, exciting news! my long-time brooklyn friend erin weckerle is resurrecting her dear shop sodafine as a pop-up in greenpoint this summer. and who was asked, amongst a roster of talented ladies, to sell her wares at said pop-up? why me, silly! this is the first opportunity since the hurricane for me to get some of my work out there- and to have a reason to make some new things. I'm currently working on the knotted pieces, as pictured below, and those will be available for sale at the pop-up.

horse brasses

ah, mystery solved thanks to miss tiff. she recently did a post on my big, brass bling necklaces, indicating that the pieces are indeed saddle ornaments. (which was my first hunch) the official name for the pendant is a horse brass. here is an illustration of a fully-ornamented horse, and below are some shots tiffany took wearing the necklaces. they are for sale in her web shop, and I have a few pieces available on the site.

then came bling

(posted by "and friend" of ebmerc.com)

Mollie is deep into rolling out a whole 'nother thing; pushing further and dishing out a brand new flavor of bling.

New pieces will be listed on the site soon. If you can't wait, then you'll need to pop on over to see Tiffany Porter at her Old Hollywood shop in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.

She already has the latest molliedash selections as well as many other vintage finds, antiques, old-ish pieces and new items from other designers. She's got a magical little shop there in the old Polish neighborhood of Brooklyn.
